6 Months
I have lost about 40 lbs now and people are starting to notice. I seem to be on a plateau as far as the scale is concerned but I think I am still losing in inches. I have nothing to wear! But I am a happy camper and I feel great! Gona get some new pictures up soon.

9 Weeks
I have lost right at 20 lbs. I am walking on the treadmill 1 mile each day. I have had 1 fill. It did not seem to make much difference in the amount of food I can eat but I am told it may take 3 or more fills to really make a difference. The next one is January 16.

A new beginning
There are people who think I chose the easy way out by having the Lapband surgery. They think you should be able to lose weight by exercising and cutting back on what you eat. Those people do not have a weight problem. I have tried nearly every diet known to man, including some that may have compromised my health, Phen-Phen being just one. The decision to do this was not an easy one. I thought about it long and hard and did lots of research. The operation will be expensive and not covered under my insurance. But even with all of the expense and the pain of surgery, I have made this decision and plan to give this my best effort. My only regret is not doing this sooner.
I am 2 weeks post op and back for my first appointment yesterday. Everything has gone very well for me and I have lost about 8 lbs according to their scales. The first 6 weeks or so after surgery is really not for weight loss - - it is for healing. I am supposed to be “practicing” for the real thing which will be after the Lapband is filled for the first time on November 28
